Soufiyane El Kassi

Mr. El Kassi became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OCP Nutricrops in 2022. Prior to this, he served as Chief Growth Officer at OCP Group, overseeing the Group's international growth and industrial transformation to deliver its 3rd S-Curve, focusing on customized fertilizer solutions, digital services, and sustainability. Before this, Mr. El Kassi was General Manager of JESA, OCP's engineering-focused Joint-Venture with Worley, after a successful experience as Executive Vice-President of Industrial Development of OCP Group.

Earlier in his career, he held multiple executive positions, including serving as a member of the task force in charge of the Industrial Development Program (2007), and going on to manage the Group Business Steering. These roles allowed him to contribute to OCP’s industrial transformation led by Mr. Terrab, which saw the company evolve from a mining company to a plant nutrition solution expert and global pure player in the fertilizer industry.

Having joined OCP as a production engineer in 2000, later leading the Khouribga mining site, Mr. El Kassi has held a range of roles in his 20+ year journey within the Group, through which he gleaned a deep understanding of all aspects of the fertilizer value chain.

Mr. El Kassi’s valuable experience made him a perfect fit to steer the transformation of OCP Nutricrops, overseeing the company’s efforts to help the world’s farmers use phosphate intelligently to improve soil nutrition and crop yields. OCP Nutricrops aims to accelerate the implementation of the OCP Group's strategy in this area, driving forward a project portfolio of soil and plant fertilization solutions. He is passionate about this mission.

Mr. El Kassi is a graduate of Mines Paris – PSL, one of the world’s most prestigious engineering institutions and one of France’s Grande Ecoles.
